Jaffna Commander Visits 55 Division

Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander Security Forces – Jaffna (SF-J), made his formal field visit to the 55 Division Headquarters on Monday (5) after he recently took over as the new Commander.

He was warmly welcomed by Brigadier Sampath Kotuwegoda, General Officer Commanding 55 Division. He was presented a Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour before he was given a comprehensive briefing about the area of responsibilities. Subsequently, Major General Wanigasooriya addressed the troops, comprised of a gathering of Senior Officers and Staff Officers. Afterwards, he had a field visit in the 55 Division area.
