Jaffna Civilians Educated on Spread of COVID-19 Epidemic

A public awareness programme on COVID -19, its prevention and precautionary measures was launched in the Jaffna peninsula jointly by 51, 52 and 55 Division troops on the instructions of the Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna and District Coordinator of COVID-19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku on Saturday (14).

Through this programme, the general public were educated on the importance of preventing COVID-19, pursuance of health guidelines including proper wearing of Face Masks, maintaining of social distance, symptoms of variants and causes of spread, etc.

Accordingly, this public awareness programme will continue in future, too.
