ITC, Minneriya Produces More Infantrymen

The Passing out Parade and adorning ceremony of insignias was held at Infantry Training Centre (ITC), Minneriya on Friday (27) on the directions of Major General Suraj Bansajaya, Commandant, ITC.

36 Officers from Battalion Support Weapon Officer Course No 74, 34 Senior Non Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) of Battalion Support Weapon SNCOs No 83 and 10 Officers and 41 Other Rankers of Missile Course No 50 got passed out on this special day.

The Commander, Security Forces - East (SF-E), Major General Santhusitha Pananwala took part in the event as the Chief Guest.

Overall talented students of the course were awarded trophies by the Commander, SF-E gracing the event as the Chief Guest.

The best student of the Battalion Support Weapon Officer Course No 74 was Lieutenant K.G.J Karunarathna of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) while 2nd Lieutenant M.P.P.U Muthunayaka of Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) became as the best student of the Missile Course No 50. Sergeant K.M.S Kumararathna of VIR was the best student of Battalion Support Weapon SNCOs No 83.
