The Ambassador of Italy to Sri Lanka, HE Rita Giuliana Mannella paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters this morning (16 March).
The cordial meeting touched on general matters of mutual interest and gestures of cooperation and understanding that prevail between both nations and explored possibilities for further improvement of those relations.
Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage at the end of the cordial interaction presenting a memento of goodwill extended his best wishes to her diplomatic endeavours.
Before her departure, she left a few compliments also in the Visitors' Book.
Captain Fabio Cima, Defence Attaché of the Embassy of Italy was also present at the cordial discussion.
