IPSOTSL’s New Commandant Begins His Office

Brigadier Sanjeewa Fernando, the new Commandant of the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) assumed duties on Thursday (17) during a simple ceremony at the office of the IPSOTSL.

A customary Guard Turnout was extended to the newly appointed commandant as he arrived there. After a simple religious observance, he symbolically signed the first formal document and received greetings from other Officers who were present at the occasion.

Brigadier Sanjeewa Fernando is the 13th Commandant of the IPSOTSL. He marked the assumption of duties by planting a ‘Mee’ sapling in the compound.

He suceeded Brigadier Shantha Ranaweera who has now been appointed the Director Operations in the Army Headquarters.

The Chief Instructor and all Officers afterwards congratulated him on the new appointment and wished him good luck.bridgemedia | Air Jordan
