Para Badminton Tournament finals came to a close at the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) gymnasium, Boyagane on 24th April.
The preliminary rounds were held during 22-23 of April with the participation of 8 teams representing 8 Regiments.
Gajaba Regiment team winning 10 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals was awarded the trophy for the Championship while Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) team clinched the runners-up trophy winning 2 Gold medals, 1 silver medal and 4 bronze medals.
The tournament was organized to uplift the sports skills of physically handicapped Army personnel was inaugurated by Regimental Center Commandant, as the Chief Guest, together with many senior officers.
Trophies and certificates were given away to the winners by Regimental Centre Commandant VIR.
