56 Infantry Division organized a Kabaddi tournament for their under-command Brigades and Battalions on 14 May 2024 with full coordination of the 561 Infantry Brigade and 16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment at its playground.
16 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Kabaddi team and 11 Gemunu Watch Kabaddi team were selected for the finals however after a closetussle 16 SLSR players won the 56 Infantry Division Inter Battalion Kabaddi Championship.
Major General S Kasturimudali RSP ndu psc the General Officer Commanding of 56 Infantry Division witnessed the final match gracing the occasion and the awarding ceremony as the chief guest. Commander (Overlooking) 561 Infantry Brigade, Colonel R.S.C Dissanayake RSP, Commander, 562 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of 56 Infantry Division participated in the event.
