The Inter Battalion Drill Competition – 2024 of the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC) was conducted on 14 June 2024 at the Training School of SLAWC.
Brigadier J.K.R Jayakody RWP USP, Centre Commandant SLAWC, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Four drill platoons representing 1 SLAWC, 7 SLAWC, 2(V) SLAWC, and 3(V) SLAWC participated in the event.
Displaying tremendous overall performances, 1 SLAWC drill squad emerged as the champions of the competition. Captain M. Thennakoon clinched the Best Platoon Commander award, and Staff Sergeant N. Dharmini won the Best Drill Instructor award for their outstanding performances.
