A special discussion to review different types of development and community oriented programmes of the INGOs and NGOs and also to resolve any issues, pertaining to their roles, was recently held at the Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi (SFHQ - KLN).
Major General Nandana Udawatte, Commander, SFHQ - KLN presided the meeting, attended by representatives of the UN, International Committee of the Red Cross, all de-mining teams and a few other relief organizations.
During the meet, Major General Nandana Udawatte assured all assistance and facilities to those organizations which are carrying out praiseworthy roles for the benefit of newly resettled civilians and others resident in different areas.
Those representatives separately produced a catalogue of varying roles and programmes, being implemented by respective organizations working in specific areas. They also tabled details regarding their future projects, aimed at further promoting living standards of the civilians in the areas.
Those representatives thanking the Commander for organizing the meet assured their maximum support to the Security Forces in order to continue with their good work.
