The friendly football match played between the Indian Army football team and the Sri Lanka Army football league on Thursday (24) evening at CR & FC grounds ended in a draw.
The match arrangement, designed to further improve existing bilateral understanding and sense of brotherhood in both organizations, was watched by Major General Crishantha De Silva, Chief of Staff as the Chief Guest. 2-2 goals brought the match to a draw.
Captain Sumith Kapoor, Defence Attaché for High Commission of India, Provost Marshal, Major General E.K.J.K Wijayasiri and senior officers were associated with the event.
Brigadier R. Ratnasingham, Director Army Sports and many other senior officers attended the event.
