Indian Peace Keeping Force War Heroes Remembered in Jaffna

Fallen War Heroes of the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) during the 'Operation Pawan' and other operations against LTTE terrorists during the period from 1987 to 1990 in Sri Lanka were commemorated and their sacrifices were remembered at the Indian Peace Keeping Force (IPKF) Monument in Palaly on Thursday (15) to coincide with the 73rd Independence Day of India.

The Consul General of India in Jaffna, Mr. S Balachandran and the Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya paid tribute to the memory of fallen IPKF War Heroes placing floral wreaths at the IPKF Monument during the brief and solemn ceremony.
