In 2024, the Indian High Commission organized a cultural excursion aimed at fostering cooperation between the Indian and Sri Lankan armed forces. A total of 119 Officers and Other Ranks from India arrived in Sri Lanka on 02 October 2024 and received a warm welcome at Katunayake International Airport.
On the following day, the visiting Indian troops participated in a cultural performance hosted by the Sri Lanka Military Academy in Diyatalawa. They visited Haggala Botanical Park, Nine Arch Bridge, Ravana Ella, and Bandarawela.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks from both Armies participated in the programme.
