Indian Army Chief Speaks to Inmates at "Mihindu Seth Medura" & Flies to Galle

Chief of the Army Staff of the Indian Army, General Dalbir Singh visited the Army managed ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ (MSM) wellness resort in Attidiya on Thursday (3) where some 52 disable War Heroes reside undergoing therapeutic rehabilitation. 

After being welcomed by an inmate on arrival, General Dalbir Singh visited the wards where he inquired about the wellbeing of the inmates and spoke to them. 

The visiting Army Chief taking an exceptional interest in the project expressed his happiness over the care being given to those inmates by the Army. 

At the end of the visit the Indian Army Chief presented a memento to Brigadier S.K. Thirunaukarisu, Director Rehabilitation who was associated with the visit. 

Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Senior Liaison Officer, Colonel I.G.R.G Bogodawatte, Commandant, ‘Mihindu Seth Medura’ and several others were present.  

The same afternoon General Dalbir Singh was flown to Galle on a sightseeing tour. On arrival, he was welcomed by Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) and Major General K.C Gunawardena, General Officer Commanding, 58 Division under the SFHQ-West.
