Inauguration of the Newly Constructed Indoor Badminton Stadium at SLAVF

A newly constructed Indoor Badminton Stadium at the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer force (SLAVF) was declared open by Major General M.K Jayawardena RSP VSV USP ndu, the Commandant, SLAVF together with Major General M.T.K.R Silva KSP, the Deputy Commandant, SLAVF on 17 April 2024.

The Commandant unveiled the plaque of the stadium, symbolizing its official opening. He also conducted the first serve, marking the commencement of activities in the stadium. The Indoor Badminton Stadium is a significant addition to SLAVF's infrastructure, offering numerous benefits and promoting physical wellbeing among its members.

The construction of this modern facility was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the Garrison Engineer, Kosgama, and the 10 (V) Engineer Services Regiment, who provided essential workforce assistance.
