ANOTHER round of discussion between the Commander Security Forces Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) Major General Jagath Jayasuriya and ICRC Vavuniya Head Ms Valerie Petit Pierre was held on Thursday (14) at the SFHQ (W).
Main focus of the meeting was on the safety evacuation of civilians injured in LTTE firing, facilitation of displaced civilians' passage due to LTTE activities in the “No Fire Zone” into cleared areas with ICRC’s involvement and hospitalizing them for treatment.
Brigadier General Staff SFHQ-W Brig. Sudantha Ranasinghe was also present during the discussion.
