ICRC Officials in Vavuniya Visit SFHQ-MLT & SFHQ-KLN

Head of the Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Vavuniya Ms Anne Melotte, together with Ms Nadine Josee Donadio, Security Coordinator of the ICRC Office in Colombo, during a visit to the Northern area paid a courtesy call on Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT) on Tuesday (5).

The visiting ICRC delegation was welcomed by the Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu and commenced cordial interactions. The Commander, SF-MLT acknowledged the services that have been so far rendered by the ICRC with gratitude and expressed the Army’s willingness to maintain existing good relations with the ICRC in the future, too.

Towards the end of the meeting, Ms Anne Melotte signed the Visitors’ Book at the SF - MLT Commander’s Office. Major General Dushyantha Rajaguru presented a memento to the visiting Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross before their departure.

Ms Anne Melotte meanwhile paid a courtesy call on Major General Ajith Kariyakarawana the Commander, Security Forces - Kilinochchi (SF-KLN) on Thursday (7) during her visit to the North.

During the meeting, the Commander, SF-KLN had a discussion with the visiting Head.
