High Commissioner of Canada in Sri Lanka Calls on Jaffna Commander

H.E. Shelly Whiting, High Commissioner of Canada in Sri Lanka had a cordial meeting with the Commander Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J), Major General Mahesh Senanayake on Tuesday (22) at the SF - J Headquarters, Palaly.

On arrival, She was welcomed by the Commander SF (J) at the Headquarters premises and provided an update on the present security situation in the Jaffna peninsula. The meeting discussed military relations, opportunities and challenges, associated with the post-conflict development and other projects, managed by the Army.

During the interaction, the Commander SF (J) also explained the military endeavours towards the promotion of the reconciliation process.

After the cordial meeting the Commander SF (J) presented a memento to H.E. Shelly Whiting as a memory of her visit to Palaly.

She placed her signature in the Visitors’ Book at the SFHQ – J to mark her memorable visit to the SFHQ - J.
