Troops of the Security Force Headquarters- Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) organized a friendly volleyball tournament and training sessions with the objective of further improving sports skills and bonds of goodwill and co-existence between both civilians and Army personnel. It was organized in collaboration with the St. John’s Ambulance Association and its sister organization, AMDA International (Association of Medical Doctors of Asia) at the "Harmony" Volleyball court, Mankulam, Kilinochchi.
St. John’s Ambulance Association in cooperation with the Association of Medical Doctors of Asia International arranged several programmes for “Peace Building through Religions, Sports and Arts” etc during August 22-24 at Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Kilinochchi and at 3 Gajaba Regiment premises.
Moreover, 72 students from several schools representing Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim nationalities participated in the camp fire arranged for students who took part in the project from Matale, Kilinochchi and Tincomalee districts later on.
The event was organized on the directives of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.
