GW Troops Erect Two More New Houses for Their Soldiers

To be in line with the Commander's vision to support the construction of new houses both for soldiers and the homeless in society, a new house, built by 7 Gemunu Watch (GW) troops under the supervision of the GW Regimental Centre in Nagoda, Kalutara was symbolically warmed and handed over to the recipient, a Lance Corporal in 7 GW Regiment.

The Centre Commandant, GW, Brigadier Rohan Jayamanna at the invitation of the Commanding Officer, 7 GW on 04th June 2021 ceremonially opened it, erected in a plot of land provided by the beneficiary.

The new house is valued at Rs 1.5 million and a part of the cost was provided by the Army HQ.

Similarly, a new house built by 4 GW troops under the supervision of the GW Regimental Centre was symbolically handed over to a 4 GW disabled War Hero, Warrant Officer-II (Retd) by the Centre Commandant GW.

Brigadier Rohan Jayamanna at the invitation of the CO 4GW on 04th June 2021 at Dharga Town, Aluthgama inaugurated that house too.

The new house, valued at 1.5 million was built in a plot of land, provided by the beneficiary.
