GW Officers Educated on 'Media Exposures'

At the invitation of the Gemunu Watch Regimental HQ at Kuruwita, the Directorate of Media at the Army HQ provided lecture assistance to a group of GW Officers on their routine training day on Wednesday (14) at Kuruwita Gemunu Watch Regimental Centre.

Themed on 'Handling the Media in contemporary environment', the special lecture was delivered by Colonel Dhammika Adikari, Colonel Media at Directorate of Media, Army HQ where he focused on ‘How to handle and face Media in contemporary environment, positive and negative uses of Social Media while maintaining cohesiveness among the troops' etc. The lecture followed an interactive question-answer session.

More than 70 Gemunu Watch Officers listened to the lecture while Officers who follow the Young Officers Course at Mechanized Infantry Training Centre too joined the session virtually.
