The Army Inter Regiment Football Championship - 2024 concluded on 10 July 2024 at the Baddegana Football Ground.
Sixteen regimental teams competed in the tournament, leading to the final clash between Gemunu Watch team (GW) and Gajaba Regiment (GR) team. After a closely contested match, GW claimed the title with a 6-5 victory.
Major General G.M.N Perera RWP RSP USP ndu, the Chief Guest, along with other Senior Officers, presented awards and trophies to the teams. Private M.J.R. Mohommad of GR was named Best Player of the Tournament, while Recruit M.T.S. Mansuk of GW was recognised as the Best Player of the Finals. The Best Goalkeeper award went to Infantryman T.S. Piyasan of GW.
Major General K.A.U. Kodithuwakku RSP USP IG, Chairman of the Army Football Committee, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
