Gemunu Watch (GW) Cricket team beats Gajaba Regiment (GR) Team in the Para Cricket Tournament at the GW Regimental Headquarters Ground, Kuruvita during April 1-2.
In the final tournament, Gajaba Regiment (GR) team won the Championship while GR became the runners-up. Vijayabahu infantry Regiment (VIR) team secured third place. 9 teams participated in the cricket tournament representing 9 regiments.
Lance Corporal D.S.C Soyza (GW) became the best batsman while Sergeant K.M Pushpadasa (GR) became the best baller and Staff Sergeant H.C Zoysa, became the man of the Series.
Trophies and certificates were given away to the winners and runners-up by Major General P.U.S Vithanage, Colonel of the Regiment, GW as the Chief guest Senior Officers, Officers, other rankers and a large gathering of witnessed the final event.
