GR Veteran Extends Greetings to Army Chief

Brigadier WAM Weerasuriya RWP RSP USP (Retd), a veteran of the Gajaba Regiment (GR) called on the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage on Thursday (22) at the Commander's office.

During the cordial meeting with the GR veteran Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Commander of the Army exchanged views on several matters of importance to the progress of the Army and the GR. He also congratulated Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage on his office as the Army Commander.

Towards the end of the meeting, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage symbolized the goodwill by awarding a memento to Brigadier WAM Weerasuriya RWP RSP USP (Retd). The gesture was reciprocated.
