Troops serving the Security Forces Headquarters, South (SFHQ-S) were invited to attend a specially organized ‘Ranaviru Upahara Pinkama’ at Godagama Purana Sri Rajamaha Viharaya.
Godagama south ‘Deegayu Senior Citizens Committee’ every year holds this felicitating meritorious arrangement with the intention of transferring merits to fallen War Heroes and wishing speedy recovery to the injured in the battlefields.
The day’s arrangement commenced with a special Pirith Chanting ceremony, attended by a representative section of the troops serving the SFHQ-S at Panagoda.
Alms giving to members of the Maha Sangha and a special sermon culminated the day’s proceedings.
