Major General V.D.S Perera, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 64 Infantry Division, visited the Battalion Training School – Mulankavil on 24 November 2024 to address the troops of the 11th Battalion, Sri Lanka Light Infantry (11 SLLI), who were undergoing battalion training.
Upon his arrival, the GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer and accorded a ceremonial guard turnout. In his address, he highlighted the importance of training and encouraged the troops to stay dedicated and focused on achieving their training goals. He also wished them success in completing the program.
The visit concluded with the GOC signing the visitors' book. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
