Brigadier K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 61 Infantry Division, paid his first official visit to the 613 Infantry Brigade, 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), and the 3 (V) Gemunu Watch (GW) on 16 October 2024.
Upon his arrival, Commander of the 613 Infantry Brigade, extended a warm welcome to the GOC and honoured him in a drive pass at the Brigade's entrance.
During the visit, GOC posed for a group photograph with the Brigade’s staff, planted a sapling, and addressed the troops. After concluding his speech, he penned his remarks in the visitors’ book and proceeded to visit 9 SLSR and 3 (V) GW.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
