Major General J.K.R Jayakody RWP USP, General Officer Commanding of the 58 Infantry Division, visited the 583 Infantry Brigade in Kurunegala on 20 October 2024.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the 583 Infantry Brigade and was accorded a Guard Turnout by troops of the Brigade.
During his visit, he received a detailed briefing of the Brigade. Following this, the GOC addressed the troops and planted a sapling on the camp premises. Concluding the visit, the GOC attended an All-Ranks tea.
Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
