GOC of 55 Infantry Division Visits 553 Infantry Brigade and Under Command Battalions

Major General B.G.S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, the newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 55 Infantry Division, visited the 553 Infantry Brigade and its under command Battalions on 02 December 2024.

Upon arrival at each location, the GOC was accorded a drive pass at the main entrances, followed by briefings conducted by the Commander of the 553 Infantry Brigade, the Commanding Officer of the 6th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, and the Commanding Officer of the 14th Battalion Sri Lanka National Guard.

Later, he addressed the troops of the 553 Infantry Brigade, with the participation of personnel from the Brigade Headquarters and the Battalions. Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks were present during the visit.
