GOC of 53 Infantry Division Visits Airmobile Brigade

Major General M.T.I Mahalekam WWV RWP RSP USP ndc psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 53 Infantry Division visited the Airmobile Brigade at Velankulam, Vavuniya on 07 August 2024.

Upon arrival, GOC was accorded a Guard Turnout by the troops of 3 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, followed by a warm reception from Brigadier A.D Rodrigo RWP RSP psc, the Airmobile Brigade Commander and Senior Officers.

During the visit, the GOC planted a sapling and addressed the troops, emphasising the need to enhance welfare facilities and uphold high standards of discipline. The visit included the exchange of mementos and all Ranks tea session. By concluding the visit, the GOC penned down some complimentary remarks in the visitors’ book.
