Major General W.L.A.C Perera RWP RSP USP, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 24 Infantry Division, paid a courtesy visit to the Federation of Kattankudy mosques and Muslim institutions at Occasion on 05 June 2024.
The GOC was warmly welcomed by the secretary of the Committee M.M.M Ilham Falahi-Mavulavi. Afterwards, the Secretary of the Committee gave a brief introduction of the Committee and the role and task that they play for the wellbeing of the society in the Kattankudy area. During the briefing, they highlighted the main problems that occur in the area such as drug trafficking and smuggling.
Adding memories to the day, the GOC posed for a photograph with the Muslim Committee and in return the Muslim Committee presented a plaque. Furthermore, the GOC complimentary remarks in the visitor’s book of the Muslim Committee.
Senior Officers, Officers and Officials and members of the federation participated in the occasion.
