GOC of 21 Infantry Division Visits 211 Infantry Brigade and Under Command Battalions

The newly appointed General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 21 Infantry Division, Major General W.M.S.C.K Wanasinghe RSP USP, visited the 211 Infantry Brigade and its under-command Battalions on 16 July 2024.

Upon arrival, the visiting Senior Officer was warmly received by the Commander of the 211 Infantry Brigade and honoured in a Guard Turnout, followed by planting a sapling in the camp premises.

During the visit, a detailed briefing of the Brigade was conducted by the Commander of the Brigade and the Commanding Officers of the respective Battalions. He then posed for a group photograph, addressed the troops, and joined an All Ranks tea arrangement. He subsequently toured the 9 Gajaba Regiment and the 5(V) Gajaba Regiment.
