Major General P.K.W.W.M.J.S.B.W Pallekumbura RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 12 Infantry Division, made his first official visit to the 122 Infantry Brigade, 12 Gajaba Regiment, and the 3 Sri Lanka National Guard on 23 July 2024.
The GOC was warmly welcomed by the Commander of the 122 Infantry Brigade along with the Commanding Officers. During his visit, he was briefed on the responsibilities, roles, and tasks of the respective Brigade and Battalions.
Visiting GOC then addressed the troops, expressing his appreciation for their duties during the Paada Yathra and the Ruhunu Maha Kataragama Devalaya Esala Perahera. He emphasised the importance of the Army’s contribution to national security and stressed the need to raise awareness about illegal activities while maintaining high levels of discipline among all Ranks.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
