The Colours Awarding Ceremony of Wickramabahu National School, Gampola, for the 2023/2024 academic year was held at the school auditorium on 21 November 2024. Major General K.A.U Kodithuwakku RSP USP psc IG, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 11 Infantry Division, attended the event as the Chief Guest.
Upon arrival, GOC was warmly welcomed by the Principal, staff, and students. He reviewed the Guard of Honour presented by the school’s cadet team and later posed for a group photograph with the participants.
During the ceremony, 627 students excelling in various sports disciplines were honoured with colours for their outstanding achievements. Senior Officers, school staff, students, and parents participated in the event.
