General Officer Commanding 61 Infantry Division Conducts Official Visit to 573 Infantry Brigade

The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 61 Infantry Division, Brigadier K.T.P. De Silva RSP ndu psc, visited the 573 Infantry Brigade and its under command battalions on 28 and 29 October 2024.

His visit began with an inspection of the Brigade Headquarters construction site at Ketapola, where he was welcomed in a Guard Turnout and then briefed by the Commander of the Brigade. Afterwards, he visited the 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, where he assessed troop readiness for search and disaster relief operations.

On the second day, GOC visited the 2 (V) Gemunu Watch and inspected the facilities at its detachment located in Walahanduwa.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the event.
