General Officer Commanding, 56 Infantry Division Visits 562 Infantry Brigade and Battalions

Major General S. Kasturimudali RSP ndc psc, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 56 Infantry Division, visited the 562 Infantry Brigade and its under command Battalions on 19 February 2024.

The visiting GOC was honoured with a Guard Turnout and was warmly welcomed by the Commander, 562 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officers of respective Battalions.

Throughout the visit, the GOC engaged in detailed briefings regarding the role, tasks and current operational status of the Brigade and Battalions, led by respective Commander of the Brigade and Commanding Officers of the Battalions. He further extended his visit to interact with troops by addressing them at each location. Moreover, the GOC visited Parangi Aru Bridge, de-mining site at Periyathampane and Pavattikulam tank.

The Deputy General Officer Commanding, the Commander, 562 Infantry Brigade and Senior Officers joined the visits.
