General Mahesh Senanayake (Retd) RWP RSP VSV USP USACGSC, the 22nd Commander of the Army and one of the most senior veterans in the Special Forces Regiment on Friday (05 Jan) paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters.
During the brief interactive meeting, the Commander of the Army recalled the retired Senior Officer's valuable contributions, evidenced by his varied and responsible positions throughout his career. The visiting Senior Officer thanked the Commander of the Army for organising the meeting and wished him good luck before his departure.
The Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, offered best wishes to General Mahesh Senanayake (Retd) and presented him with a special memento.
