General Bipin Rawat Calls on Secretary Defence

The visiting General Bipin Rawat, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army, making another important pause at the Ministry of Defence, had a cordial meeting with the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr. Kapila Waidyaratne PC this afternoon (14) as part of his day's itinerary.

Touching on matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance as regards defence, both Mr Kapila Waidyaratne and the Indian Army Chief had a round of cordial discussion before a formal exchange of mementos took place as tokens of goodwill.

Military Liaison Officer at the Ministry of Defence Major General D.A.R. Ranawaka was also present during discussions.
