Gemunu Watch (GW) troops at their Kuruwita Regimental Headquarters on Friday (30) listened to a lecture on ‘Anti-Social Acts’, organized by the Directorate of Psychological Operations at the Army Headquarters.
A series of such programmes are being conducted at island-wide Security Force Headquarters and their Divisions and Brigades on the instructions of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva, in an attempt to educate Army personnel on different civil perspectives and aspects in society.
A total of 8 officers and 204 other rankers of the GW participated in this awareness programme, for which the lecture assistance was provided jointly by the Sri Lanka Army Mental Health Unit, Directorate of Legal and the Alcohol and Drug Information Centre (ADIC).
Major Vindya Jayasooriya of Directorate of Legal, Lieutenant Prasad Peduruhewa and Lieutenant Prasanna Samarakoon delivered lectures. Mr Ajith Nawagamuwa of the ADIC also attended the event.
