Gampaha Still Records Most Positive Numbers-NOCPCO

As of this morning (14), 2,361 more COVID- 19 positive cases have been reported during last 24 hours. Of them, the majority (362) was from Gampaha district, including 34 from Pallewela and Gampaha, 28 from Kadawatha, 27 from Mirigama and others from different areas, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Moreover, 339 positive cases reported from Kalutara District included 45 from Dodangoda, 39 from Kalutara (South), 38 from Bandaragama areas and the rest from different areas in the district.

Similarly, 338 more cases were reported from Colombo District in the past 24 hours. Of them, 68 cases were from Awissawella, 25 from Mount Lavinia and 24 cases from Narahenpita areas. Other positive cases were from elsewhere in the district.

Accordingly, 1322 cases reported from other districts of the country were as follows: 322 from Ratnapura, 194 from Kandy, 104 from Kurunegala, 93 from Nuwara Eliya, 87 from Kegalle, 73 from Batticaloa, 66 from Ampara, 57 from Galle, 55 from Matale, 40 from Jaffna, 36 from Anuradapura, 34 from Puttalam , 25 from Hambantota and Moneragala, 22 from Polonnaruwa, 20 from Badulla, 17 from Trincomalee, 6 from Matara, 5 from Mannar, 4 from Kilinochchi, 3 from Mullaittivu and 2 from Vavuniya districts.
