Gampaha Continues to Report the Highest Positive Cases-NOCPCO

As of this morning (15), 2,284 more COVID- 19 positive cases have been reported during last 24 hours. Of them, the majority,526 was from Gampaha district, including 65 from Megahawatta, 63 from Ragama, 59 from Dompe and others from different areas, states the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

Moreover, 287 positive cases reported from Colombo District included 36 from Piliyandala, 34 from Awissawella, 32 from Kosgama areas and the rest from different areas in the district.

Similarly, 260 more cases were reported from Ratnapura District in the past 24 hours. Of them, 70 cases were from Kiriella, 37 from Kalawana and 33 cases from Rakwana areas. Other positive cases were from elsewhere in the district.

Accordingly, 1211 cases reported from other districts of the country were as follows: 155 from Kalutara, 134 from Galle, 123 from Nuwara Eliya, 98 from Badulla, 93 from Kandy, 91 from Puttalam, 77 from Kegalle, 61 from Jaffna, 59 from Kurunegala, 47 from Batticaloa, 40 from Matale, 35 from Hambanthota, 31 from Trincomalee, 30 from Kilinochchi, 29 from Moneragala, 15 from Polonnaruwa, 13 from Vavuniya, 12 from Matara, 8 from Anuradhapura, 5 from Mannar and one from Mullaittivu districts.
