THE SEVA VANITHA Unit of the Gajaba Regiment with the coordination of its senior member Mrs Saranki Dias on 5 December 2009 organized a medical clinic for War Heroes who became disabled or mentally affected during the humanitarian operations in the Senapura Army Camp.

This medical clinic was conducted by Dr. Mrs Priyanjali De Soysa, a psychologist cum lecturer at the Medical Faculty of Colombo University.

During this clinic she interviewed disabled and mentally affected War Heroes and gave solutions to the mental complications they undergo. She also lectured them on a wide range of issues covering Post Conflict Mental Health and Conflict Experiences.

The Seva Vanitha Unit also organized a picnic on 6th December for about 150 disabled War Heroes who are at the Senapura Army Camp. They visited the Temple of Sacred Tooth Relic, Dambulla Rajamaha Vihara, Victoriya Dam and Peradeniya Botanical Gardens during that tour.
