Full-day Workshop at Oddusuddan on Organic Fertilizer Educates All Stakeholders

A full-day workshop on production of organic and liquid fertilizer to be in line with the government's policy got underway on Tuesday (28) at the Agricultural Research and Training Center in Oddusudan with the participation of troops and all stakeholders on an initiative taken by the General Officer Commanding of the 59 Division, Major General G D Sooriyabandara.

The Assistant Director of the District Secretariat Office in Mullativu, Mr K K C Wimal Kumara, Deputy Agricultural Director of the Eastern Province Mrs S Yaamanee, Development Officer of the Agricultural and Research Training Center of Mullaitivu, Mr S Thijaanthan, Manager in the Agricultural Research and Training Center farm in Mullativu, Mr. J. Keerthikan were among the participants, together with Army personnel representing Brigades and under command battalions.

All participants received a fair knowledge of the producing process and discussed practical aspects, related to collection of ingredients and raw materials for the project.
