Military Spokesman Brigadier Nihal Hapuarachchi said that the Army has been instructed to conduct sessions with support of the Police and Divisional Secretariats to educate the public in this connection.

An officer of the Security Forces Headquarters Vanni stated that the sessions are planned to be extended. The sessions are designed to make the public aware of the possibility of the criminals exploiting this created situation to commit various crimes. The public were instructed to be vigilant and seek the support of the authorities if there were any suspicious incident.
