With the aim of fostering unity and goodwill among the youth in the Killinochchi District, the troops of 551 Infantry Brigade and the 7 Sri Lanka Light Infantry organized a Football Tournament from 14 to 17 May 2024. The event culminated on 17 May 2024 at the Sports Complex in Killinochchi.
The tournament was conducted under the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division, Major General R.K.N.C Jayawardene RSP ndc.
The Ilanthalir Sports Club - Waddakachchi football team emerged as the champions of the tournament.
