Foot Bicycles and Dry Ration Packs Distributed to Jaffna Students and Women

The 513 Infantry Brigade conducted a distribution programme for low-income families in Jaffna, providing 50 bicycles for students, 25 dry ration packs for elderly women, and 25 nutritious packs for pregnant mothers. This initiative was conducted under the guidance of Brigadier E.M.L.P Ekanayake USP, Commander of the 513 Infantry Brigade.

The distribution ceremony was held on 24 December 2024 at the 513 Infantry Brigade Headquarters in Kirimalai. Mr. Ragikaran Shanmugarathnam, a Canada-based benefactor, sponsored the event.

The Honourable Governor of the Northern Province, Mr. Nagalingam Vethanayahan, and Major General Y.A.B.M Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander of Security Forces (Jaffna), graced the occasion.

Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks also participated in the event.
