Troops of the Forward Maintenance Area in Mullaittivu (FMA-MLT) upon arrival of their newly-promoted Commander, FMA-MLT, Major General Anil Illangakoon to the HQ after receipt of new insignia from the Army Chief at the Army HQ presented honours and greeted him on Monday (18) during a special ceremony.
Troops of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) presented a Guard Turnout at the entrance saluted him before a separate Guard of Honour afterwards honoured him as a formality.
The brief ceremony culminated with an all rank tea arrangement after military honours. Staff Officers at the FMA East, Commanding Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended the felicitation ceremony adhering to health guidelines.
