The ‘Cast Master’ course, started on 4 May at Special Forces Combat Diving school, Nayaru ended on 9 May as the first Maritime and Aquatic Operations course of this type, conducted by the Special Forces in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Air Force.
The aim of this course was to provide knowledge of landing at precise locations after dropping into boats in the waters and train SF soldiers for swimming and diving. The only diving training school of the Army is now established in Nayaru, Mullaittivu and this was the first Maritime and Aquatic Operations course, conducted in the school.
One Officer and 15 Other Ranks of Special Forces followed the Course.
