The first Inter Regiment Handball Tournament of the Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) concluded on Aug 24 at Maduru Oya Army Training School with the participation of 24 VIR units.
The final tussle between 1 VIR and 5 VIR teams saw victory clinched by handball players of the 1 VIR. The trophy was presented to the winners by VIR’s Colonel of the Regiment, Major General R.V Samaratunge who attended the occasion as the Chief Guest.
