Fifty Under-privileged Families Given Dry Rations during Vesak

50 poor families in Kiran, Iluppadichenai, Aiththamalai, Kirankulam and Kurukkalmadam areas in Batticaloa district were among recipients of essential dry ration packs, each valued at Rs. 2000.00, following generosity extended by Dr. Kalpani Dissanayaka and Mr. Darshana Gunarathna (USA) and Mrs. Wimala Dissanayaka of Kandy.

To coincide with the Vesak Full Moon Poya day, 231 Brigade under the Security Force Headquarters – East (SFHQ-E) coordinated this donation of essential items for underprivileged families in Batticaloa area on Friday (8) in close cooperation with those sponsors. Colonel General Staff of the SFHQ-E, Colonel Subath Sanjeewa coordinated with the donors for this worthy cause.
