Felicitation Ceremony for Newly Appointed Chief of Staff

The 68th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was held in conjunction with the felicitation ceremony for the newly appointed Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General W. P. A. D. W. Nanayakkara RSP VSV USP ndu on 01 October 2024 at SLSR Regimental Centre.

Upon arrival, the Chief of Staff was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Centre Commandant and then accorded a Guard Turnout and Ceremonial Parade by SLSR troops. Then, Chief Guest addressed all Ranks sharing his insights.

Later, the Chief Guest planted a sapling in memory of this significant occasion, followed by a floral tribute at the War Heroes Monument in honour of the War Heroes of the SLSR who made the supreme sacrifice for the motherland.

To conclude the day’s agenda, the Chief of Staff was also invited to All-Rank lunch organised at the Other Ranks’ mess.

Senior Officers, Officers and Other Rankers were present at the event.
